well if you want your hair to look fried and fake than use peroxide. my friend did that and she had to cut her hair real short due to the crap that happened to it

i think bleaching is a horrible idea. but if you dont care about your hair falling out and getting dry and GROSS then go to a professional at least. at home is even worse

Whatever you do, just do NOT do it all at once. Your hair WILL fall out. Im not joking at all. A few years ago, my sister decided she wanted a "change", and locked herself in the bathroom and tryed to dye her hair platinum. She came out an hour later, screaming and crying because she looked like she had gone through chemo. Her hair was gone. And it was MEDIUM Brown! If you HAVE to do it, dye it lighter over time. It will be orange for a while, but that is way better than having no hair at all. YOU CANNOT DO IT ALL AT ONCE. You will be bald. PLEASE dont do it!

I got a really good idea for you. Go right ahead and use all the home products you can think of to try to get that black hair to platinum. "just do it" like you said you want to. It will be real easy because after you are done and have either Ronald McDonald orange hair - or better yet all of your hair turns to mush and falls out - you can go buy a beautiful platinum wig!

i always dye part of my hair random colors, and ive always done it on my own.

i decided to make my hair platinum also so i bought bleach [you could just use peroxide but it does NOT work as well cuz its less strong than the peroxide in the bleaching kits] and bleached it for two hours.

it was a pale yellow color, and i had to wait a week to finish dying it cuz it killed it so much and i moustourized it everyday,

but after i week i used a blonde kit and dyed all the bleached hair blonde so that it turned platinum,

it did completely kill my hair,

but within the next month itll get more healthy.
