Good Black Salon that's not Too Expensive in Charlotte, NC?

I am a college student and I am looking for a Black salon to care for my hair between visits to my hometown salon for relaxers. Mostly this means only washes, conditioners and styles. I have short hair and want to wear it in trendy sleek styles and pretty curls (not hard curls and lots of flips and things), but I don't have tons of money to spend. I saw online on the Essence site something about Hair Original 2000 and Sketches Salon. Has anyone been there before and/or have other suggestions?
