Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

So this may sound shallow, but when I think about my kids, I would almost prefer them to be interacial...this way they can relate to both sides and we can have more people fill in the "other" box on standerdized test!! How great would it be if we just all became so mixed up that there was no more black, white, asian, latino, etc...what if on forms and test you just had to fill out your name? How cool would that be? Don't get me wrong, i love my strong black sistah's but I also think that if we started making new rules and new categories of people, the old ideas would melt away in a generation or two..then our grandchildren won't even care abou this stupid stuff anymore...what do ya think!!

PS...I think they look better also!!! Perfect skin, perfect hair, and usually great eyes!!

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

I think what you are talking about is already happening to some degree. But life originated in africa to start with so we really already all come from the same roots. Though no one teaches this in school. There is nothing wrong in celebrating your heritage and being proud of it, differences are what make the world beautiful and interesting. I love different cultures, customs and learning about others beliefs. I don't know if there are any people now who are not of mixed origin. I myself am american indian, german and english. If I trace my family history back there may be even more mixed in. But bottom line the human race started pretty much in one place and spread outward, the differences are due to climate and adaptation to the environment. We already are the same, people just don't understand that. And if racism were gone it would be something else, it seems to be human nature unfortunately to fear or dislike anything different. At least with some people. They would be prejudice because someone was fat or had tattoo's or had long hair or piercings, it is always something. Nice idea though!! Good Luck!!

With God all things are possible. Martin Luther King had a dream, Ghandi had a dream and so have many others who have made such a great impact on the world. You sound like a wonderful person, I say go for it and do whatever you can to realise your dream. Peace be with you!! Report It

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

you may end alot of racism but theres always going to be some one who doesnt like other races.thats because of sin Report It

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

No matter how perfect something may seem, someone will come along and find an imperfection.

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

well if people would change the way they think then the world would be a better place but i don't think that would happen there are fewer people who think that way in these days and times or they are putting on a good front. it would be nice if the standardize test would just allow you to write your name and not your race that would be some place to start. maybe one day the world would be a better place.

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

Well thanks, cuz I am half white and half black and I appreciate your compliment toward people of my kind (lol). But yeah, I think what you said would work. If everyone married someone of a different race, then in one generation there would be no prejudice.

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

I have to agree with you on this one, no matter what the race, mixing them always ends up with something exotic and beautiful.

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

was this a question . any way i see what you mean but still there will be crazy people not excepting of others.

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

I have a daughter who is half Black (I am white). There is racism even among the mixed race children. She is not Black enough for some and not white enough for others.

I have to admit it is better then when I was a kid but it is still there.

Maybe if we did this it would end racism...?

With this conclusion we would still end up genetically white, black, latino, asian, etc. My ancestry on one side started out black, then mulatto, now white. Even if it wasn't prejudices about racism there would be other forms of what we think "perfect" is. I do believe diversity would help where I'm from because I live in between Cincinnati and Lexington it's like the parting of the 'black' sea, barely any in sight. There's like confederate flags everywhere here and I hate it, it offends me terribly. It's like country stupidity is something looked upon as good. It would be fun just to experiment with your idea though.

I'm 52 years old,I remember racism in it's heyday,in the seventies it seemed that we were on the verge of working through it,entities like Motown and the mindset of that time seemed to make everyone more equal. At my age and mindset,I have many friends, both white and black. It seems that the eighties brought a group of young black people who thought that whites owed them something, they don't so that brought separation.Things like Rodney King and especially the OJ trial brought more.OJ was a rich black man, obviously guilty, but black people seemed to take his acquittal as a personal victory and I saw more separation. The welfare system took the black man out of the family unit, not how it was intended but in reality that's what happened.I believe that when black men rise up and stop preying on each other,I'm talking inner city mainly then we have a chance of ending racism.Everyone becoming the same color has nothing to do with it.
